A quiet feed is a real finding: it means no validator in any indexed set was slashed, jailed, went delinquent or changed its commission. Try a longer window.
What each one means
- Slashed
- The chain penalised the validator and removed it from consensus.
- Jailed
- Suspended for missing blocks. On BNB Smart Chain a jailed validator stops earning.
- Delinquent
- Stopped voting. On Solana this is the usual sign of an operational problem.
- Exited
- Left the active set deliberately.
- Deactivated
- Stopped being active without exiting or being punished.
- Recovered
- Came back to voting.
- Activated
- Entered the active set.
- Status changed
- A transition this build has no name for. Reported rather than dropped.
- Commission raised
- Costs every existing delegator, who did not agree to the new rate.
- Commission cut
- Commission went down.
What is deliberately absent
A first sighting is not an event
Every validator would produce one on the day indexing began — 898,000 rows saying “we started looking”, burying the handful that say something happened.
Stake movement is not an event
Solana restakes rewards automatically every epoch, so every validator’s stake changes every two days by construction. That is a chart, and the validator page draws it.
A commission appearing is not a change
A rate is only compared where the chain reported one both before and after. Learning a figure is us finding out, not the operator doing something.
Nothing is here that we did not see
The feed starts when indexing did. An event before then happened and is not recorded — the absence of a row is not evidence of a quiet chain. How this is collected
Derived from the validator change log, which records a row only when something moved. A first sighting is not an event: every validator would produce one on the day indexing began. Stake is not an event either — Solana restakes rewards every epoch, so it changes constantly by design, and the validator page charts it instead. Commission is reported only where the chain reported a value both before and after: learning a figure is not the operator changing it.
